AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as a striker. She is also the captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division for professional women's soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she co-captained the women's national soccer team of America along with Megan Rappinoe. [8][99 Morgan was selected number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she completed her degree early at the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut at the club , and also helped the team win its league championship. Morgan 22, then 22 years aged, was the smallest national player at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011, where she was second. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final game against Canada in the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. The 2012 season ended with 21 goals, 28 goals and 28 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. She was the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to hit 20 goals in a season. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a key role in helping the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Championships in 2019. Morgan was named to both the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
