Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967[1] is a Canadian actress from Canada. Her fame was boosted by her role in the film Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after having played a variety of characters on television. Memento (2000) was her debut big role. She was awarded the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Supporting Actress, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) also earned her the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress. Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). She also played Jeri Hogarth in a variety of television series produced by Marvel Television for Netflix, most notably Jessica Jones (2015-2019). Moss was a resident in Spain at the time, was offered the role of Tara Marshall as the clerk of Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. It was her first appearance on television. Moss relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles with the series in 1992. Moss was sacked from Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn, who played Samantha Collins. After her return, she was enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. At the academy she worked as an actress, and later starred on Fox's soap opera, primetime Models Inc. The series was canceled on July 1995. Matrix was a made-in Canada series that was her main character, was cancelled in July 1995. She was a frequent guest in several television shows which included Street Justice, Baywatch and F/X: The Series. [3] She won a Gemini Award nomination for Best Guest actress in Drama. Most of her film roles in the decade were B films, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
