Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
After being inspired initially by the shadows she observed in the grasses of trees, she worked for months to create a method that didn't depict the subject in a 2-dimensional picture. It is more like the subject has been transformed into it's own representation which is based an interpretation by the artist. This is especially effective when working with living things or objects that can be perishable like fruits and people. Alexa Meade's works are fleeting, but the photo remains. As the photographic and painting methods are closely coordinated it creates a trompe l'oeil effect, that creates the illusion of three dimensions appears only at specific points, such as the eye area or hair. At times, Meade integrates her painted models with the 3-dimensional space around them, allowing them to interact within this self-created world. This eliminates the distinctions between photography, painting, and installation.
