Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and a writer, who has won numerous Awards. Her work has received acclaim for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). Born and raised in a family of artists located in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. The first job she had was a photo assistant. After that, she switched to acting and modeling. In her first two films she received recognition as a winner of the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought fame to the world and also as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, MacGraw was ranked as the most popular female box-office participant in the entire world. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name with handprints, foot prints and handprints in 1972. She was a part of several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was released. MacGraw was married three occasions.
